What is Required to Cleanse the Corrupted Breaches in New World
First of all, you need to be at least Level 20 to start cleansing the Corrupted Breaches in New World. So, make sure to level your character by any activities you are keen on doing in the Game.
The other thing is the Azoth Staff. You can’t actually close the Portal if you don’t have this Staff equipped. The Azoth Staff has Tiers that are required for closing the Portal of a certain Level.

Minor Braches doesn’t have Pylons, so you only need to get rid of the Corrupted Guardians and use your Azoth Staff on the Portal itself to destroy it.
The Major Corrupted Braches in New World takes a longer time to destroy. They have Pylons that you need to disrupt first and the enemies come in waves.
What Reward You Will Get by Cleansing the Corrupted Breach
Typically, players do the Corrupted Breaches in New World to get XP and Level faster. However, you also gain Territory Standing points, Azoth, Loot, and Breach Cache. Your rewards will depend on the Level of the Corrupted Breach. The higher level of it brings you better Rewards.

Increases damage absorption from Corrupted by 15% for 30 seconds or after receiving damage 15 times.

Fully remove the Corruption Affliction and gain minor resistance to it for a short time.
